God did not create the world randomly or without purpose. In Genesis 1:14–19, we see God ordering creation, establishing rhythms and seasons, and pointing us toward the greater rest and joy found in Christ.

In this message, Pastor Ricky Smith explores how God orders His creation, ordains our celebration, and offers us rest in Christ. The rhythms God built into creation remind us that we were not designed for endless striving. Our lives have purpose, our time belongs to God, and true rest is ultimately found in Jesus.

Genesis points beyond creation itself to the work God continues to do in the hearts of His people. Just as God commanded light to shine out of darkness, He shines the light of the knowledge of His glory into our hearts through Jesus Christ.
